Laser Power

How do I power this beast?

Sunday July 14, 2024

The laser, chiller, and air compresser or 220 but use standard 110 sockets

Laser 220 1.5kw, ~7 amps Chiller 220 Air Compresser 220

I think that the laser, the chiller, and the air compressor each use NEMA 6-20p 20 amp 250 Volt connectors.

Jay showed me his 220 volt splitter, to drive his dryer and the big CNC machine.

Our dryer is a NEMA 10-30

6-20p is different from 5-20p!!

The laser is probably 12amps at 220 volts.

What I need: NEMA 10-30 plug into wall Dryer into splitter wire/extension to location of laser 3 outlets of power strip for the laser.

Can I plug 110 into the 220 6-20p outlets? It is all so confusing!

Need to confirm what the laser plugs look like. But if that splitter works I need the splitter, and then a power strip with extension cord to get from the dryer to the laser, and provide outlets for laser, chiller, and air compresser.

next: - how far do I need to go - confirm the darned plugs - check current requirements, power strips seem possible.
