on the Jellyfin drive I used fdupes on my music collection.

On my mac:

brew install fdupes

fdupes -m --summarize fdupes -r --recurse

I had a new external drive, and there was so so much activity.

sudo lsof | grep /Volumes/bigeneration

And it was spotlight.
